Dhiveja completed her Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) at UCT in 2007, but the universe had already started moving in strange ways to change her direction in life. She had entered the 2004 Miss South Africa pageant as a bit of a lark, and ended as 1st Princess, making it into the Top World 15 and Top Two in Africa in the Miss World 2005. Presenter of Eastern Mosaic followed. Having discovered her niche, she entered the Top Billing presenter competition and the rest is history, with weekly appearances as one of the Top Billing presenters.

Dhiveja was head girl at Crawford College and achieved six distinctions in Matric. During her reign as Miss Cape Peninsula, she was an ambassador for Reach for a Dream and spokesperson for the Starfish initiative “Feed Our Nation.” She worked as PR Account Executive for a cause communications company, where she was tasked with marketing social and corporate responsibility programmes. While based in Cap Town, she devoted her spare time to medical volunteer services in the informal settlements.
A true Thespian at heart, Dhiveja has another business, in which she cooks, with great panache, for private dinner parties, drawing guests into the kitchen to learn the secrets of Indian spices and cuisine. She tries to keep up with her love for the flute and piano and is an amateur Ballroom and Latin American dancer!
